On the morning of April 23, reporting to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. D.TD (62 years old) is a patient who regularly comes for treatment and gets medicine from Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital.
Mr. D. said that he had just gotten medicine at Khanh Hoa Provincial Hospital on the afternoon of April 22. The hospital still took his paper health insurance card, even though he had been seeing a doctor and receiving treatment for a chronic illness for many years. After getting the medicine, the hospital returned it.
"I see that every time the hospital takes a paper insurance card, even though I have provided it for a long time, the procedure is repeated many times and is quite cumbersome. Currently, there is a VssID application that does not require presenting paper insurance and can be integrated on VNeID, so why doesn't the hospital use it to limit cumbersome procedures?" - Mr. D. said.
Responding to the above issue, Mr. Dinh Tan Hung - Head of Administration Department, Khanh Hoa General Hospital - said that for procedures when new patients come to the hospital for examination and treatment, the number taking room still accepts scanning of electronic insurance cards on applications or integrated into chip-embedded ID cards.
Currently, the procedure of keeping paper health insurance cards is required by the finance and accounting department, to serve the payment of fees for examination and treatment at the hospital, and then return them to the patient.
"For cases like Mr. D's, the hospital leadership has received and will direct adjustments and handling of the above issues, creating the best conditions for patients to be treated at the hospital," said Mr. Hung.
