Accordingly, based on the Constitution and the proposal of the Prime Minister in Submission No. 440/TTr-TTg dated April 18, 2025,the President decided to give gifts to people with revolutionary contributions on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Specifically: Giving gifts to people with revolutionary contributions who are receiving monthly preferential allowances, including: People who participated in revolutionary activities before January 1, 1945; people who participated in revolutionary activities from January 1, 1945 to the August 1945 uprising; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; People's Armed Forces Heroes, Labor Heroes during the resistance period; war invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids, type B war invalids, sick soldiers; people who participated in resistance activities and were infected with toxic chemicals; people who contributed to the revolution; people who participated in revolutionary activities, resistance activities, protecting the Fatherland, and performing international duties but were imprisoned or exiled by the enemy.
Relatives of people with revolutionary contributions who are receiving monthly support allowances will also receive gifts on this occasion, including relatives of martyrs; relatives of two or more martyrs; representatives of martyrs' relatives; and people who worship martyrs (in case the martyr has no relatives).
The gift amount (in cash) is 500,000 VND/01 person/02 occasions. Time of payment: Payment will be made once on April 30, 2025.
Funding is guaranteed by the central budget according to the provisions of Point a, Clause 14, Article 170 of Decree No. 131/2021/ND-CP.
This Decision comes into force from the date of signing.
The Prime Minister, the Chief of the Office of the President , the Minister of Home Affairs, the Minister of Finance, and relevant State agencies are responsible for implementing this Decision.
