In recent times, international economic integration has contributed to creating new development momentum for agriculture, boosting agricultural exports by promoting strengths and potentials to expand export markets for Vietnam's agricultural, forestry and fishery products.
With the goal of promoting the growth of export turnover of NLTS products, participating comprehensively and sustainably in the global NLTS and food supply chain. Improving the quality and value of Vietnam's exported NLTS products to meet the regulations of import markets. Continuing to position and develop the brand for Vietnam's NLTS products in the international market. By 2025, the export value of Vietnam's NNTS products will reach about 50 - 51 billion USD by 2025. Of which, the main agricultural products will reach 22 billion USD, forestry products will reach 13.5 - 14 billion USD, aquatic products will reach 12.5 billion USD, livestock products will reach 1 - 1.5 billion USD, other NNTS products will reach about 1 - 1.5 billion USD. About 20% of Vietnam's exported NNTS products will be branded with national brands, 50% of products will have traceable origins, about 50% of the export value of NNTS products will be processed and deeply processed. By 2030, the export value of Vietnam's NNTS will reach about 60 - 62 billion USD by 2030. Of which, the main agricultural products will reach 25 billion USD, forestry products will reach about 16 - 17 billion USD, aquatic products will reach 15 billion USD, livestock products will reach 3 - 4 billion USD, and other NNTS products will reach about 2 billion USD. The growth rate of NNTS export turnover will reach about 6% - 8%/year; about 40% of Vietnam's exported NNTS products will have national brands, 70% of products will have traceable origins; about 60% of the export value of NNTS products will be processed and deeply processed. Guide and support enterprises to apply good manufacturing practices (GAP), traceability in farming and apply advanced quality management systems in processing to enhance quality management and safety of exported agricultural products from farming to harvesting, transportation, processing and exporting. Strengthen policy research, assess the impact of FTAs ​​on each industry managed by the Ministry to identify advantages and propose market priorities, and orient the industry according to each FTA. Negotiate techniques, open markets for agricultural products, thereby promoting exports to the world market. Develop and apply technical standards and regulations for input materials and output product quality, ensuring food safety for products of animal and plant origin according to regulations of Vietnam and import markets; minimizing risks of food safety and disease, protecting domestic production and supporting the maintenance and expansion of export markets for NLTS products. Implement solutions to register trademark protection for key NLTS products of Vietnam. Research solutions to apply technology to trace the origin of products protected by intellectual property; support enterprises to register trademark protection domestically and internationally, negotiate with countries in market opening, resolve trade disputes, remove difficulties, obstacles, and barriers to NLTS trade in the international market. Prioritizing the promotion of Vietnamese agricultural products is one of the economic diplomacy activities in foreign political events.
