On the afternoon of April 10, within the framework of his official visit to China, in Shanghai, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue attended the Forum on Policies and Laws to Promote Vietnam-China Investment and Trade Cooperation.

Speaking at the forum, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh pointed out factors that help Vietnam and China strengthen cooperation in the fields of economics, trade and investment, such as the two countries having open economies with exports playing an important role, having the capacity to adapt to international trade principles; the two economies are compatible, connected and complementary to each other...

According to VNA, the National Assembly Chairman said that businesses of the two countries have a full legal framework and favorable conditions to connect trade and cooperation, to become important links in the regional and global supply chain. In that spirit, the National Assembly Chairman suggested a number of orientations to further promote the potential and strengths of both sides, making economic, trade and investment cooperation a true pillar of cooperation between the two countries.

Firstly, strengthen cooperation between the National Assembly, Government and localities of the two countries to share experiences in building policies and laws on enterprises and business investment to adapt to rapid changes in science, technology and the current international environment.

Second, promote the connection between the two economies in the spirit of "win-win, mutual benefit", especially concretizing the results of the recent visit of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to China and the visit of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping to Vietnam...

Third, Vietnam welcomes Chinese and Shanghai investors to invest in areas such as: science and technology innovation, research and development, green economy, digital economy, circular economy, knowledge economy, artificial economy, digital transformation, financial centers, green finance, strategic airport infrastructure development, etc.

Fourth, promote cooperation mechanisms between government to government (G2G), Association to Association and business to business (B2B) to promote and unblock trade and investment flows, promoting the strengths of each country in the new context.

Fifth, relevant Chinese agencies continue to facilitate bilateral cooperation activities, accelerate market opening for agricultural, aquatic and processed food products, and improve customs clearance efficiency to minimize trade congestion at border gates.

The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that the Vietnamese National Assembly is committed to always listening and building a transparent, fair, and comprehensive legal framework, creating favorable conditions for foreign investors in general and Chinese enterprises in particular to do business smoothly and successfully in Vietnam.

Previously, in his welcoming speech to National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and delegates attending the forum, Deputy Chairman of the Shanghai People's Congress Standing Committee Tran Tinh introduced some of Shanghai's development achievements and cooperation activities between Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City... At the forum, leaders of ministries, branches, localities and enterprises exchanged information on socio-economic development policies of the two sides, strategic orientations to attract investment and great cooperation potential between the two sides...

Within the framework of the Forum, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and delegates attended the ceremony to celebrate the 10th anniversary of opening flights to China (2014-2024) and announce the direct flight connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Xi'an, China...
