On May 10, the Biztech Vietnam Conference and Exhibition 2024 officially opened with the theme “Green Digital Transformation - Sustainable Growth”. This is the second time the program has been organized by the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) with the aim of connecting B2B, B2B2C, promoting digital transformation in the business sector.
The program takes place over 2 days, May 10-11, 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City with 7 seminars, exhibitions and trade connection activities, with the participation of more than 2,000 delegates who are leaders, business managers, 50 speakers and experts.
According to PwC's 27th Global CEO Survey, 45% of global CEOs are not confident that their businesses will survive the next decade if they continue on their current path. This figure is up more than 6% compared to the 2023 survey results of 39%. Change is required in the face of huge fluctuations in global economic and political conditions. Digital transformation - green transformation is the solution for sustainable development.

According to the survey results, the three biggest drivers of ESG implementation (abbreviation for Environment, Social and Governance) of enterprises are: improving the image, brand and reputation of the enterprise (with 78%); maintaining competition in the market (with 63%) and pressure from investors (with 40%). Pressure from the government is not a burden to encourage enterprises to implement ESG with only 28% of respondents choosing to answer.
At the conference, KPMG experts said: "Digital transformation - green transformation, ESG practices will help businesses: build customer loyalty, improve financial indicators, increase competitive advantage, create sustainable operations and attract investors".
According to experts from the British Standards Institution, digital transformation is increasing adaptability and resilience; green transformation is reducing emissions; green growth - helping sustainable development.
As a result, 80% of large businesses are planning to invest in ESG and 60% of businesses consider ESG a key focus or key criterion in selecting and prioritizing digital initiatives (Boston Consulting Group - BCG report).

Some notable names include Vinamilk, Heineken, FPT, Momo, VNPay, etc. Green credit sources for Vietnamese enterprises are also increasing rapidly, not only from domestic credit institutions, but also with commitments from developed countries such as the US and Europe.
Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, Chairman of VINASA, Head of the Organizing Committee said: “The Government has a very strong commitment to NETZERO. Major markets in the world such as the US and Europe have begun to apply the Carbon Adjustment Mechanism - barriers, standards on Green Transition, ESG for imported goods, services, and solutions. Even technology enterprises, providing IT services to Japan and Europe have begun to have to declare and meet ESG standards for partners every year.
In addition, technology businesses - in addition to having to implement digital transformation - green transformation, and ESG practices for themselves, also take on additional responsibilities and efforts to support customers in their transformation."
