On the morning of October 5, the Department of Industry and Trade of Thua Thien Hue coordinated with the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) to organize a training conference on "Training and developing human resources in e-commerce" for managers and enterprises, cooperatives, and business households in the province.

The training content at the conference focused on the current status of e-commerce in Vietnam and Thua Thien Hue, Digital transformation - the role and necessity of digital transformation for businesses in the period of the 4.0 technology revolution in general and e-commerce in particular; Overview of e-commerce law and some common violations in the field of e-commerce; How to approach and build an online marketing strategy for businesses; Developing brands and effective business on Shopee e-commerce platform and some famous e-commerce platforms.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Thua Thien Hue, e-commerce has become an inevitable trend in the present and future, and is one of the indispensable tools for businesses in trading goods, helping businesses reduce many costs of promoting products, finding markets, partners... Especially after the Covid-19 pandemic, with new shopping habits, e-commerce has become a powerful sales channel, attracting users compared to traditional sales methods.
Up to now, most agencies from provincial to commune and ward levels of Thua Thien Hue province have applied information technology in management, direction, operation as well as in supporting businesses in trade promotion.
In addition, most businesses have invested in information technology infrastructure, promoting products and selling through social networks and digital technology platforms.
However, because enterprises in Thua Thien Hue are all small and medium-sized enterprises, there is no specialist in information technology and e-commerce, so e-commerce activities are still limited to providing information on products and services being traded. In addition, training and development in the application of information technology, digital platforms and e-commerce is still limited.
“The content shared by experts in the field of e-commerce of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy at the conference will help businesses, cooperatives, business households, etc. effectively apply e-commerce in production and business activities, contributing to promoting the overall economic development of the province,” said a representative of the Department of Industry and Trade of Thua Thien Hue.
