Thai boxer Mahahin did not fight back but just ran around the ring to take the blows.

Mahahin Petkiatpet (25 years old) is one of the Muay Thai fighters in the ONE Championship system - the largest mixed martial arts (MMA) arena in Southeast Asia. Recently, the Thai boxer received a permanent "expulsion" from the tournament organizers due to suspicion of dishonest competition.

Mahahin Petkiatpet’s suspicious match took place on November 29 at the Lumpinee Stadium, Bangkok (Thailand). The home boxer’s opponent was Dionatha Santos Tobias (Brazil). During the 2 rounds, Mahahin (with a previous record of 2 wins and 1 loss) barely attacked.

Mahahin Petkiatpet just stood at a defensive distance, occasionally throwing out a few "wind blows" with negligible force and causing no damage to the opponent. When Dionatha Santos Tobias rushed to attack, Mahahin raised his hands to block or... retreat to another place.

The match continued like that with the audience booing. Mahahin just ran around the ring and took the blows. The climax that made the audience angry was the moment the Thai boxer was knocked out at the end of the second round.

Mahahin suddenly fell to the floor after a very light blow from Dionatha Santos Tobias and lay motionless. Notably, as soon as the referee finished counting to determine the knockout victory for the Brazilian boxer, Mahahin immediately jumped up with a decisive movement, alert as if he had never been hit.

Petkiatpet has been banned from competing in ONE Championship for life and is at risk of having to pay an additional fine of 5 million baht (about 3.7 billion VND). Not only that, this 25-year-old fighter is also being boycotted by his own management company.

"Mahahin will never compete again. We accept this punishment. Let this incident serve as a warning to all boxers," Mahahin's management company said in a statement, adding that the boxer "may have participated in match-fixing." Mahahin has also been temporarily suspended from training.
