Analyzing the truly favorable investment environment, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said there is no reason why Vietnamese and Hungarian enterprises should not come to invest and do business in each country.

According to the Prime Minister, Vietnam has been relatively successful with its choice so far. Vietnam's economy has grown from 4 billion USD to over 400 billion USD, with per capita income at over 4,000 USD.

In recent years, the world and regional situation has been difficult, but Vietnam's macro-economy has been stable, inflation has been controlled, growth has been promoted and major economic balances have been ensured. Revenue growth in 2023 is more than 8%, trade surplus of 28 billion USD, export of more than 8 million tons of rice, contributing to ensuring world food security.

The Prime Minister said that Vietnam calls on businesses to invest in the fields of consumption and export, in addition to focusing on new driving forces such as green economy, circular economy, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, innovation, etc.

Vietnam focuses on three strategic breakthroughs, in which institutions must be transparent, reducing administrative procedures for investors and businesses; breakthroughs in strategic infrastructure such as transportation, energy, etc. must be smooth.

The Vietnamese Government is committed to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of investors, always keeping in mind to accompany, encourage and protect investors.

In particular, Vietnam persistently aims to maintain independence, protect territorial integrity and have a long-term stable policy because "no one will invest in a country without stable policies".

The Head of the Vietnamese Government called on investors and businesses from Hungary and Vietnam to invest in the two countries, contributing to strengthening and building the traditional friendly relationship. The Prime Minister expressed his hope that in the future, the two countries will become stronger, more powerful, cooperate more effectively, and bring greater benefits to the people and businesses.

Listening to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh share about Vietnam's history, Prime Minister Viktor Orban believes that Vietnam is a country without political risks and this is a very important factor in attracting investment.

Hungary is determined to stand on the side of peace, peace is the greatest value for development. "We will not have any policy that puts Hungary at risk of war," Prime Minister Viktor Orban pledged when calling on Vietnamese businesses to invest in the country. According to Mr. Viktor Orban, Hungary is a "healthy, diverse" economy.

However, the Hungarian Prime Minister also pointed out a major obstacle in trade, investment and people-to-people cooperation between the two countries, which is geographical distance.

From here, he believes that there needs to be a “remedy” to overcome this obstacle, which is to establish a direct flight route. He suggested that the ministries and sectors of the two countries study this plan for early implementation.

He also said he accepted the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to pay an official visit to Vietnam.
