During the 8-day working trip including travel time, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a busy, rich and diverse schedule of activities.
According to the special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency, at noon on January 23, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation returned to Hanoi, successfully concluding the official visit to Poland and the Czech Republic, attending the 55th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and bilateral work in Switzerland.

All three countries gave the Prime Minister, his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation a warm, friendly and sincere welcome.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had talks, meetings, and exchanges with most of the senior leaders of the State, Government, and Parliament of Poland and the Czech Republic, and held talks with the President of Switzerland. The notable result was that all three countries wished and agreed to upgrade and aim to upgrade their relations with Vietnam. In particular, Vietnam-Poland promoted to upgrade the relationship to a Strategic Partnership; Vietnam-Czech Republic upgraded the relationship to a Strategic Partnership; Vietnam-Switzerland upgraded the relationship to a Comprehensive Partnership.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and leaders of the countries agreed on measures to create new momentum for cooperation in traditional areas such as trade, investment, tourism, education-training, defense-security, culture, tourism, labor, etc.; at the same time, expanding cooperation to new areas such as digital transformation, green transformation, information technology and communications, cyber security, pharmaceuticals, automobile industry, aviation and railway connectivity, etc. In particular, with Poland and the Czech Republic, the two sides are determined to soon increase trade turnover to 5 billion USD/year instead of about 2 billion USD as at present.
In order to quickly realize the agreements and enhance cooperation, during his visit to the countries, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also had meetings with leaders of several organizations, political parties, and friendship associations; and visited several cultural, scientific and technical establishments in the countries.
The Prime Minister chaired forums, dialogues and worked with leading businesses of the countries to call for investment and promote trade between Vietnam and the countries. During the Prime Minister's visit, Vietnam and the three countries signed eight cooperation agreements on diplomacy, labor, aviation, education, sports and culture.
In particular, in Poland and the Czech Republic, the Prime Minister spent time visiting economic establishments owned by Vietnamese people; had meetings with officials, staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community there.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife joined the Vietnamese community in Poland and the Czech Republic in the Homeland Spring program, bringing warm feelings from the homeland to our compatriots in other countries as Tet and Spring come.
During his program to attend the 55th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum, with just over 30 hours in Davos, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a packed schedule.
The Prime Minister attended and spoke at four discussion sessions of the Conference, including three sessions specifically designed by WEF for Vietnam, especially the dialogue sessions.
The Prime Minister also had meetings with nearly 20 leaders of countries and international organizations; and leaders of ministries, sectors and localities exchanged and had dialogues with nearly 250 leading corporations at 5 seminars on the occasion of the Conference.
Attending the 55th Annual Meeting of the WEF, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation conveyed a strong message of sincerity, cooperation, solidarity and responsibility to the international community; at the same time, with trust, dynamism, creativity and rich potential, Vietnam is ready and eager to promote effective cooperation with partners.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s working trip to Poland, the Czech Republic and Switzerland ended successfully; continuing to effectively implement and affirm Vietnam’s foreign policy; contributing to deepening Vietnam’s relations with partners; further enhancing Vietnam’s position, role and responsible contribution; conveying the message of determination, aspiration and attracting international resources to develop the country in the new era./.
