On September 20, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision 1013 on Vietnam Cyber ​​Security Day.

In this decision, along with choosing August 6 as Vietnam Cyber ​​Security Day, the Prime Minister also stated that the purpose of organizing this day every year is to speed up the implementation of national cyber security tasks; raise awareness of the whole society about the role, significance and benefits of cyber security.

The annual organization of Vietnam Cyber ​​Security Day also aims to promote the participation of the entire political system, synchronous actions at all levels and the participation of all people to ensure the effective operation of cyber security work.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Public Security to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Information and Communications, relevant ministries, branches and People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to develop a specific implementation plan; guide and direct the implementation of communication activities on Vietnam Cyber ​​Security Day every year to ensure practicality, efficiency and economy.

Ministries, branches and localities shall base on the plans and instructions of the Ministry of Public Security and actual conditions to organize communication activities suitable for the annual Vietnam Cyber ​​Security Day at the ministry and province.

The Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, the National Cyber ​​Security Association, the Vietnam Information Security Association, the Vietnam Internet Association and other relevant associations direct their affiliated member organizations to participate in and organize communication activities for the annual Vietnam Cyber ​​Security Day.

Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, and Vietnam News Agency are responsible for developing a propaganda plan on their channels about cyber security and Vietnam Cyber ​​Security Day.

The Prime Minister also requested central and local news agencies and newspapers to step up propaganda and promotion of Vietnam Cyber ​​Security Day; develop programs to introduce and commend typical agencies, organizations and enterprises that have taken the lead in implementing cyber security work; organize external communications and promote Vietnam Cyber ​​Security Day abroad.

Making Vietnam a self-sufficient country in technology, products and network security services

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung called on information security enterprises to join hands with the Ministry of Information and Communications in the process of making Vietnam a self-reliant country in technology, products, and network information security services.
