(Dan Tri) - After the appearance of 3 Government members, according to the year-end meeting tradition, the Prime Minister will report to clarify issues related to the Government's operations and directly answer questions before the National Assembly.

On the afternoon of November 12, after three sessions of three Government members, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, on behalf of the Government, clarified issues related to the Government's management work and directly answered questions from National Assembly deputies. Previously, reporting to the National Assembly on the implementation of the 2024 Socio-Economic Development Plan and the expected 2025 Plan at the opening session of the 8th meeting on October 21, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the macro-economy continued to be stable, inflation was controlled, economic growth was higher than the set target, and major balances were ensured (with high surplus).

The Government estimates that 14/15 targets will be achieved and exceeded for the whole year (the GDP per capita target will be achieved if GDP growth is over 7%), in which the Prime Minister emphasized the highlight is the target of increasing labor productivity exceeding the plan after 3 years of failure. In perfecting the legal system, the Prime Minister said that the Government has focused on cutting and simplifying administrative procedures, reducing compliance costs, eliminating the "request - grant" mechanism; creating a healthy and favorable investment and business environment. Despite many achievements, the head of the Government frankly pointed out many shortcomings and limitations such as macroeconomic stability still has potential risks; production and business activities still face difficulties. Meanwhile, disbursement of public investment capital is slow; waste in management of public assets, land, etc. is large. There are still many problems in institutions and laws; Decentralization and delegation of power still have many shortcomings, still concentrated mainly at the Central level, there is still a situation of "not being able to do the right role"... Referring to the tasks for the last months of the year, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to strive for a GDP growth rate of over 7% for the whole year, controlling inflation below 4.5%; credit growth of about 15%; state budget revenue increasing over 10%; public investment disbursement rate reaching at least 95% of the plan. Reporting to the National Assembly on the socio-economic development plan for 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh raised many important guiding and operating viewpoints. In particular, he emphasized the need to strongly innovate thinking, thinking, and doing in the direction of "What is old and bad must be abandoned. What is old and not bad, but troublesome, must be amended to be reasonable. What is old and good must be further developed. What is new and interesting must be done". With the goal of maintaining momentum, keeping pace and accelerating, making breakthroughs, the Prime Minister clearly stated the spirit of "dare to think, dare to do, dare to break through for the common good", "what is said is done, what is committed is done; what is done, what is done must be done effectively", "The Party has directed, the Government has agreed, the National Assembly agrees, only discuss doing, no retreat". Stating the goal for next year, the Prime Minister said that the Government strives for GDP growth of about 6.5-7% and strives to achieve a higher growth rate (7-7.5%) so that by the end of 2025, it will rank 31-33 in the world in terms of GDP scale; GDP per capita will reach about 4,900 USD.
