Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh studied for many years at the Bucharest University of Civil Engineering and worked at the Vietnamese Embassy in Romania, so he is quite knowledgeable about the history and famous architectural works of the Romanian Parliament House. Located right in the center of both geography and history of the capital Bucharest is the majestic Parliament House, attracting the attention of those who have the opportunity to visit here because of its elaborate, unique and impressive architectural style. The building began construction in 1984 and was completed in 1989 with a total area of ​​365,000m2. The building is also known as the "House of the People" with 1,000 rooms including 440 offices, 30 conference halls, 4 restaurants, 3 libraries, a concert hall, etc.

While visiting the Romanian Parliament, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh introduced the project to the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation.

The length of the building is 270m, the width is 240m, the height above ground is 86m and the depth below ground is 92m. The building has 12 floors above ground and 8 underground floors, in the underground floors there is an atomic bomb shelter. Although there are no official statistics, it is estimated that about 100,000 workers worked hard day and night, for nearly 6 years under the guidance of 700 architects and the control of 28-year-old female chief engineer Anca Petrescu. The Parliament Building is the heaviest structure in the world with about 4 million tons, 1 million m3 of stone. Each room has its own special features due to the large number of architects, each bringing a unique feature. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation visited the central rooms, reception, banquet, ballroom, press room... The corridor and rooms are decorated in the style of 17th century Romania, with symmetrical floral patterns. In the middle of the central room is a carpet weighing about 1 ton with patterns simulating the marble floor of the building. The ballroom can accommodate 1,000 people, the walls and ceiling are decorated with gold, copper and many other materials. The room has an area of ​​about 2,200 square meters, making it the largest room in the building. According to the tour guide, the Prime Minister and the delegation walked 1.5 km and went up and down 200 stairs but only saw a very small part of the project.

In addition to being used as a venue for major national political events, the Romanian Parliament is also open to tourists every day.
