At the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh will lead a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to attend the expanded Group of Seven (G7) Summit and work in Japan from May 19-21, 2023.

This is the third time Vietnam has attended the G7 Summit and is one of two Southeast Asian countries invited by Japan to attend this year's G7 Summit.
Vietnam's participation affirms its role, position and contribution to the common efforts to promote cooperation, maintain growth and address common challenges of the international community.
