
The official delegation joining Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the working trip included: Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son; Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien; Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang; Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung; Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan; Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong; Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises Nguyen Hoang Anh; Deputy Minister of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San; Deputy Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Bui Van Thach; Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's External Relations Commission Ngo Le Van; Deputy Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen; Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai. In addition, leaders of a number of ministries, branches and localities also participated in the working trip.


The 2024 WEF Dalian Conference, taking place from June 25-27 with the theme "New Growth Horizons", is the second largest in scale after the WEF Davos Conference with the participation of 1,600 delegates. It is organized with the spirit of being a place to converge and create new ideas, new fields, pioneering and innovative models that will shape future economic sectors.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is one of the few heads of government invited by WEF and host country China to attend the conference for two consecutive years; demonstrating that WEF and China value Vietnam's position, role and contribution to global economic growth as well as Vietnam's development vision for the future economy. This is also an opportunity for Vietnam to promote its development achievements, macroeconomic stability, priorities and development orientations.
During the working trip, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation had bilateral activities with China to maintain high-level strategic exchanges, enhance political trust, concretize and effectively implement high-level common perceptions and the two Joint Statements between Vietnam and China reached during the recent visits of the General Secretaries of the two Parties to the two countries; promote substantive cooperation with new progress, especially in areas of Vietnam's need such as cross-border railway connection, border economic cooperation, promoting official export of Vietnamese agricultural products, attracting high-quality investment, enhancing sustainable tourism cooperation, training high-quality human resources, etc.
