Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh meets with Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning

This is an activity within the framework of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's working trip to attend the 15th Annual Pioneers Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Dalian and work in China.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning.

In an atmosphere of sincerity, friendship, openness and mutual trust, the two sides informed each other about the situation of each Party and each country; had a general exchange on the development of the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries in recent times; and shared profound and comprehensive opinions on theoretical research, inheritance and creative application of Marxism-Leninism to the specific practical conditions of each Party and each country, especially the new summaries and achievements in theory and practical experience of Vietnam and China in building socialism in each country.

The two sides expressed their delight and agreed that, after the historic mutual visits of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to China (2022) and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping to Vietnam (2023), the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership has maintained positive development momentum and made historic progress; political trust has been consolidated and enhanced; cooperation between ministries, sectors and localities has become increasingly in-depth, effective and substantive; people-to-people exchanges have been maintained and promoted as a positive spreading role, contributing to enhancing understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries.

The Prime Minister expressed that Vietnam and China are close neighbors, "mountains connected to mountains, rivers connected to rivers", with many similarities in political regimes, development paths, and socio-cultural characteristics. The Party, State and People of Vietnam always remember the great and valuable support and assistance of the Party, State and people of China in the past struggle for national independence and in the present-day development of the country; affirming that consolidating and developing the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation with China is an objective requirement, a strategic choice, and a top priority in Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification of foreign relations.

The Prime Minister hopes that in the coming time, all levels and sectors of the two sides need to actively innovate thinking, create measures, continuously deepen understanding, promote the practical implementation of agreements and common perceptions of the high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and two countries, especially the Joint Statement on continuing to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, building a community of shared future between Vietnam and China with strategic significance in the direction of "6 more"; determined to strive to achieve more substantive, effective and practical achievements, towards the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China in 2025.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of sincerity, friendship, openness and mutual trust.

Expressing his appreciation and full agreement with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's opinions on the relationship between the two Parties and countries, Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning emphasized that China always considers relations with Vietnam a priority in China's neighborly diplomacy; consistently supports Vietnam in continuing to promote the Doi Moi policy under the leadership of the Communist Party, successfully implementing the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country and constantly enhancing Vietnam's prestige and position in the international arena.

Regarding cooperation between the two countries in the coming time, Mr. Wang Huning affirmed his readiness to promote the Chinese CPPCC at all levels to strengthen exchanges and coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, together thoroughly grasp and implement high-level common perceptions, promote deepening substantive cooperation, and bring the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future of strategic significance to continuously develop and deepen in accordance with the "6 more" orientation set forth by the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries.

Appreciating Vietnam's important theoretical achievements, Mr. Vuong Ho Ninh emphasized that the two sides need to increase theoretical exchanges and contribute to the cause of building socialism in each country.
