At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Vice President Harris expressed their delight at meeting again for the third time in the past two years. The two leaders were pleased with the strong development of the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Partnership, aiming to elevate the relationship in the coming time, especially in the fields of economics , trade, investment, science and technology, innovation, education and training, people-to-people exchange and overcoming the consequences of war.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated Ms. Kamala Harris's contributions to the bilateral relationship, especially her support for the Vietnamese people to get COVID-19 vaccines, and looked forward to meeting her again in the near future to concretize high-level agreements to promote the relationship to continue to be in-depth, effective, and substantive. The Prime Minister said that Vietnam is coordinating with the United States to prepare to welcome President Joe Biden with great respect and care during his upcoming visit.
