Also attending were members of the Party Central Committee: Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc; Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung; Minister, Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son; Governor of the State Bank Nguyen Thi Hong; Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son; leaders of ministries, branches, and agencies under the Government; and members of the Council.

Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had just decided to establish a Policy Advisory Council with the aim of researching, advising and recommending to the Prime Minister in the work of building, planning and operating development policies. Mr. Tran Quoc Khanh, former Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, is the Standing Member of the Council.

At the meeting, at the request of the Prime Minister, delegates and members of the Council focused on discussing and giving comments on the Project on private economic development submitted to the Politburo; Draft Report on supplementary assessment of the results of the implementation of the Socio-Economic Development Plan in 2024 and the implementation of the Socio-Economic Development Plan in the first months of 2025 submitted to the National Assembly at the upcoming session.

Along with that, analyze and evaluate the context and socio-economic situation in the past time, forecast the context and situation in the coming time, identify key and urgent issues and major policy orientations, tasks, solutions, and countermeasures in the immediate, medium and long term. At the same time, Council members give their opinions on the draft Regulations on the Council's operations.

Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the enthusiastic, profound, responsible and constructive comments, demonstrating the understanding and vision of the Council members, scientists and representatives of ministries and branches; assigned relevant agencies to absorb valid comments to complete the drafts and submissions to competent authorities.

The Prime Minister stated that in the process of management, direction and operation since the beginning of the term, the Government and the Prime Minister have always paid attention to consulting, listening to and absorbing valid opinions, including those of experts and scientists.

In the current context, when the world situation is changing rapidly, complicatedly and unpredictably; at the same time, under the leadership of the Central Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat, the whole country is implementing many large, important and strategic tasks, some of which are revolutionary in nature, requiring unified awareness, innovative thinking and drastic action, the Prime Minister requested that the Council members continue to provide quality advice and contributions, ensuring the Council's activities are substantive and effective, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks and goals, all for the benefit of the nation, people and the people.
