(Dan Tri) - Emphasizing that Brazil is a large country in Latin America with 214 million people and an area of more than 8 million square kilometers, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the development space for the two countries is still very large.
On the evening of September 24 local time, within the framework of his official visit to Brazil, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the headquarters and met with officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and Vietnamese representative agencies in Brazil.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised the working spirit of the Embassy's staff because "few people, much work, large area, high demands" but everyone still tried to complete the task of promoting the increasingly good relationship between the two countries.

Thanks to the contributions of the Embassy's staff, the Prime Minister said that Brazil understands Vietnam quite well, appreciates Vietnam's innovation as very effective, and is impressed with Vietnam's resilient but flexible bamboo diplomacy.
Besides, two-way trade turnover in 2022 recorded a record of 6.78 billion USD - up 6.8% over the same period in 2021.
Emphasizing that Brazil is still a power in the Latin American region, the Prime Minister suggested focusing on the pillars of economy, trade, investment and promoting negotiations and signing of multilateral and bilateral free trade agreements, investment protection agreements, double taxation avoidance agreements, etc. to promote economic cooperation between the two countries; contributing to bringing the relationship between the two countries to a new height.

Recalling that Brazil is a large country in the region with 214 million people and an area of over 8 million square kilometers, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the development space for the two countries is still very large, and promoting agreements aims to create a legal basis for implementing cooperation work.
In addition, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked the embassy staff to focus on promoting cultural, educational, sports and people-to-people exchanges; coordinate with multilateral forums to support each other, especially supporting ASEAN's central role in the East Sea issue.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Brazil Pham Thi Kim Hoa accepted the Prime Minister's instructions and, on behalf of the Embassy's staff, promised to make efforts to promote the relationship between the two countries, boosting two-way trade turnover to 10 billion USD by 2025 and 15-20 billion USD by 2030.
