The Prime Minister emphasized the role of state-owned enterprises in holding large resources, contributing to the state budget, creating jobs for workers, social security, pioneering in innovation, renovation, and investing in key projects in localities and economic regions of the country.

Play your part in adversity

State-owned enterprises also contribute to ensuring major balances, supply and demand, regulating production and business activities, providing essential goods and services, meeting the needs of people and businesses, and restoring the socio-economy.

With three pillars implemented in a socialist-oriented market economy, the state economy is the main one. The Prime Minister believes that state-owned enterprises have a role in intervening in the market, especially in difficult situations.

Accordingly, he requested opinions to assess the difficult and challenging situation, thereby demonstrating determination and solidarity, finding appropriate solutions, contributing to promoting growth, stabilizing the macro-economy, ensuring major balances of the economy, which are the premise for achieving the goals.

The spirit is to "think truthfully, speak truthfully, do truthfully, achieve real results, and let the people enjoy real benefits", offering solutions to both control inflation and promote growth, stabilize the macro economy, and ensure major balances.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister also raised this issue when asking: "If state-owned enterprises do not become pillars, take the lead, pioneer in opening the way in investment and development, creating motivation, leading, and spreading in socio-economic development, then which economic sector can do it?"

Accordingly, Mr. Chinh said that it is necessary to prioritize the formation and development of national enterprises and large-scale enterprises to promote their pioneering role in a number of important industries and fields with competitive advantages and the ability to lead the country's industrialization and modernization process.

Resolution 29 of the Central Committee clearly identifies the building and development of a number of large-scale economic groups, state-owned enterprises, and domestic private enterprises that operate effectively, have international competitiveness, and play a leading and pivotal role.

With the desire and expectation that "each ministry and sector has a Viettel, each province and city has a Becamex", the Prime Minister said that the model already exists, the problem is that it needs to be expanded.

Promoting the role of "5 pioneers"

In that spirit, the Prime Minister requested state-owned enterprises to implement the "5 pioneers" well: Pioneering in innovation, application and mastery of science and technology in the era of the 4th industrial revolution; Pioneering in international integration, effective investment abroad.

Pioneer in effectively exploiting the country's resources, along with actively promoting the prevention and fight against corruption and negativity;

Pioneer in researching, proposing and implementing breakthrough mechanisms and policies for national development, including business development, socio-economic development along with improving social security; Pioneer in training high-quality human resources and smart governance.
