Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Russian Prime Minister MV Mishustin signed a Joint Communique on the results of the Russian Prime Minister's official visit to Vietnam and witnessed the signing of a number of cooperation documents.
On the afternoon of January 15, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation MV Mishustin left Hanoi, successfully concluding his official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
Seeing off the delegation at Noi Bai International Airport were Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Russian Federation Dang Minh Khoi and a number of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the visit, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the Russian Government Delegation laid wreaths and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum; and laid wreaths at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs.
During the visit, General Secretary To Lam and President Luong Cuong received; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed, held talks, and hosted a reception; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
During the meetings, talks and conferences, Vietnamese leaders said that Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin's visit was very important, taking place on the occasion of the two countries celebrating the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and being Mr. Mishustin's first visit to Vietnam as Russian Prime Minister.
This visit of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin is to continue to realize the cooperation contents that the two sides have achieved and to set out major directions to promote bilateral relations.
The leaders of the two countries shared some major features of the situation in each country and agreed on some major orientations to further deepen the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
The two sides agreed to continue to strengthen dialogue, consolidate political trust, promote contacts and delegation exchanges at all levels and through all channels, creating a foundation for comprehensive bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of economics-trade, investment, energy-oil and gas, education-training, culture, tourism, science-technology and local cooperation...
The two sides acknowledged that bilateral trade turnover has achieved positive growth in recent times, however, there is still much room for exploitation; agreed that there should be breakthrough solutions to increase the value of two-way trade, including effectively utilizing the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union of which Russia is a member; continue to study and create conditions to open the door for each other's goods such as agricultural products, pharmaceuticals, etc.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Russian Prime Minister MV Mishustin signed a Joint Communiqué on the results of the Russian Prime Minister's official visit to Vietnam and witnessed the signing of a number of cooperation documents in the fields of science, information and communication, culture, etc. The two Prime Ministers chaired a meeting with typical Vietnamese-Russian enterprises.
