(NLDO) - On the morning of February 8, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his delegation visited and worked in Quang Nam province.
After offering incense at the Martyrs Cemetery of Quang Nam province and the Monument complex of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thu, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited and worked with Hyosung Quang Nam Co., Ltd.; visited Chu Lai seaport, Chu Lai airport and factories of THACO Group at THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park (Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province).
On the same day, the Prime Minister visited, presented gifts, and wished longevity to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thoai (born in 1929, currently living in Tam Hiep commune, Nui Thanh district), whose husband and son are martyrs.

At Hyosung Quang Nam Company, after listening to the business leaders report on business results, stating some advantages, difficulties, and obstacles, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated the results that HS Hyosung Group has achieved in the production and business process in Quang Nam and is developing well in Vietnam. The Prime Minister asked Quang Nam province to support and create the best conditions for the group to operate smoothly as committed.
The Prime Minister said that this year, Vietnam has determined to achieve GDP growth of at least 8%, with double-digit growth in the coming years. Therefore, the group needs to stick to this target to build programs and projects, contributing to Vietnam's growth. At the same time, Quang Nam province, based on the growth target assigned by the Government, encourages the whole province to strive to complete it.

Regarding the proposals of HS Hyosung, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to report and propose amendments to regulations to remove obstacles related to the environmental sector. Visiting Chu Lai seaport and factories at THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park of THACO Group, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the proud activities and results of THACO, with products of higher quality, higher localization rate, more suitable prices, more digitalization, automation, creating more jobs, contributing greatly to the budget, promoting social responsibility; especially focusing on research and development, promoting innovation and industrialization.

The Prime Minister asked THACO to pioneer in innovation, accelerate and make breakthroughs in growth, develop comprehensively and sustainably, promote digital transformation, green transformation, creative economy, ensure labor safety and environmental sanitation, do better in ensuring social security, and contribute to the growth target of 10% in Quang Nam and at least 8% in the whole country in 2025.

Based on the opinions of the Minister of Transport at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that THACO participate in research, technology transfer, and production of high-speed railway cars, moving towards research, technology transfer, and production of locomotives. The Prime Minister believes that THACO will achieve better results in 2025 than in 2024 in all aspects.

Regarding THACO's proposal, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Transport to immediately resolve procedures related to the investment in the Cua Lo route project for 50,000-ton ships entering Chu Lai port in the spirit of ensuring substance, efficiency, for the common good, ensuring transparency, and fighting negativity and corruption.
