Prime Minister wishes Vietnam U17 team the best results against UAE U17

The U17 Vietnam team will meet the U17 UAE team in the final round of Group B at 10pm today (April 10) in Saudi Arabia. This is also the match that will decide the ticket to the U17 World Cup 2025 of the Vietnam team, when they must win.

Before the decisive match, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a letter to the Vietnam U17 team. He warmly praised and congratulated the coaching staff, players, support staff and those who accompanied the Vietnam U17 team.

In the letter, the Prime Minister wrote: "Tens of millions of football fans and Vietnamese people are very happy and excited to witness the Vietnam U17 team playing resiliently and excellently, winning important points against strong teams in the continent such as Australia and the current U17 Asian champion Japan, opening up great opportunities at the U17 Asian finals and also the qualifying round for the 2025 U17 World Cup.

This is a very impressive result, demonstrating the constant efforts, solidarity, enthusiasm and brave heart, determination not to retreat in the face of difficulties and always giving their all for the flag and colors of the U17 Vietnam team.

On behalf of the Government, I would like to express my warmest appreciation and gratitude to the coaching staff, players, support staff and those who have accompanied the team, including the important tactical guidance of head coach Cristiano Roland.

In tonight's decisive match, I hope and believe that the coaching staff and players will prepare well, have appropriate tactical plans, play with the highest concentration and determination, with "a warm heart, a cool head", unite to achieve the best results. Affirming the development of Vietnamese football in particular and regional football in general, at the same time opening up many development opportunities for national football in the coming time.

The people of the whole country, especially the fans of our country's football, including me personally, always accompany, cheer and support Vietnamese football in general, and Vietnamese youth football in particular, to develop more and more strongly and achieve more outstanding achievements.

Wishing Head Coach Cristiano Roland and the entire U17 Vietnam team good health, success, excellent performance and continued victories to bring glory to the country."
