Digital transformation contributes to fighting corruption and negativity
This is also the cause of our entire Party, army and people, contributing to realizing the aspiration of building a strong and prosperous country, with a prosperous and happy people, leaving no one behind in the new era - the era of national development.
In the context of international and regional situations with wars and conflicts, geopolitical tensions, and strategic competition, the Prime Minister said emerging trends have impacts and influences on every country and every economy.
That is the trend of digital transformation, green transformation, climate change response; connection between economies, especially infrastructure connection, traffic connection, digital connection; harmonious, sustainable, inclusive development, leaving no one behind.
Therefore, to combine the strength of the nation and the strength of the times, internal and external strength, we cannot stand outside the general trend of the world.
Digital transformation has also demonstrated very clear benefits for the country and the people. It has contributed to fighting negativity and corruption, especially petty corruption.
Therefore, the Prime Minister believes that our country is on the right track in digital transformation, green transformation, and infrastructure development, which are big topics in the world that everyone needs and talks about.
In 2024, the national digital transformation theme is: "Developing the digital economy with 4 pillars of information technology industry, digitalization of economic sectors, digital governance, digital data - Important driving force for fast and sustainable socio-economic development".
Determined to transform digitally comprehensively, substantially and effectively
According to the Prime Minister, this is the third consecutive year we have organized this important event, demonstrating the determination of the Party, State, political system, business community and people nationwide to join hands in national digital transformation, developing the digital economy, digital society and digital citizens.
Therefore, the event aims to convey the Government's message of determination to pursue the digital transformation revolution in a profound, comprehensive, substantive and effective manner. Thereby promoting rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, improving the material and spiritual life of the people and modernizing national governance.
In particular, if digital transformation is done well, Vietnam's ranking in digital transformation in the world will increase, contributing to building and developing the national brand, thereby promoting and attracting the best investment.
"We are behind in digital transformation, so we must have the spirit of catching up, progressing together and surpassing," the Prime Minister said, pointing out three breakthroughs in digital transformation: digital institutions, digital infrastructure and digital people.
The Prime Minister noted that this requires active participation, especially from leaders at all levels and sectors; at the same time, there must be no shortage of electricity or telecommunications signals, especially in remote areas.
Accordingly, the head of the Government suggested issues to be discussed. That is, it is necessary to fully, objectively and accurately assess the results achieved in national digital transformation in 2024, especially in the digital economy. Strategic orientations, viewpoints, tasks and solutions, focusing on three breakthroughs including digital institutions, digital infrastructure and digital people.
