On the Vietnamese side, also attending the meeting were representatives of units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade including: Foreign Market Development Department, Industry Department and representative of TH Group - a Vietnamese enterprise successfully investing in Russia in the field of dairy farming.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Truong Thanh Hoai informed the Vietnamese side about the economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and Russia in general, and with Kaluga province in particular, and proposed many specific solutions to promote cooperation between the two sides. Regarding the project of TH Group in Kaluga province, the Deputy Minister expressed his gratitude to the Government of the Russian Federation, the Kaluga provincial government, and the Russian Ambassador to Vietnam for supporting TH Group during the past time.
Introducing the cooperation potential of Kaluga province, Deputy Governor Potemkin said that Kaluga province is one of the most economically developed localities in the Russian Federation. Accordingly, Kaluga currently has 12 industrial parks, and the largest Vorsino road-railway logistics transport center in the Russian Federation... In this region, the areas being focused on investment and development include manufacturers of turbine generators and gas turbine engines, railway equipment, construction materials, electronics, optics and new high-tech industries from nuclear technology, aviation and space travel...
Acknowledging the sharing of the Deputy Governor of Kaluga province, Deputy Minister Truong Thanh Hoai said that Kaluga is a locality with a lot of room to develop cooperation with Vietnam, especially in the fields of industry, agriculture, trade - investment, energy... The Deputy Minister hopes that the two sides will actively exchange information to concretize the potential of Kaluga province into specific cooperation activities between businesses of the two sides.
At the end of the meeting, Deputy Minister Truong Thanh Hoai sincerely thanked Mr. Vladimir Vasilievich Potemkin, Deputy Governor of Kaluga province for visiting and working with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and believed that after this exchange, the two sides will have more initiatives to develop the bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Russia in general and with Kaluga province in particular to develop more strongly and substantially in the coming time.
