Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh expressed his joy and warmly welcomed the delegation of Hunan province's leaders led by Mr. Tuong Dich Phi, Vice Chairman of the province Tuong Dich Phi, to work in Vietnam.

The working delegation of Hunan province leaders to Vietnam took place in a jubilant atmosphere, imbued with Vietnam - China friendship.

The visit to Vietnam by Vice Chairman of Hunan Province Jiang Difei and his delegation took place right after the very successful State visit to Vietnam by General Secretary andPresident of China Xi Jinping, contributing to affirming the determination of both sides in joining hands to foster traditional friendship and continue to deepen the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China.

During the visit of the two sides' top leaders, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and General Secretary To Lam discussed measures to promote cooperation in various fields between Vietnam and China, including promoting cooperation in culture, sports , tourism and information and communication between the two countries in general and between the two countries' provinces and localities in particular.

Introducing Hunan province to the leaders of the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vice President Jiang Difei said that Hunan has a population of 73 million people, GDP of 5,320 billion NDT (760 billion USD), and is in the TOP 10 provinces with the largest economies in China.

Hunan is surrounded by mountains on three sides: east, south and southwest. The central and northern terrain is low and flat, forming a horseshoe-shaped basin, opening up in the north with Dongting Lake as the center. Hunan has 70.2% of its total area being hills and mountains. In particular, the Hengshan mountain range with an altitude of over 1000 m is planned as a cultural tourist destination with famous landscapes and landscapes that Vietnamese tourists are familiar with such as Phoenix Ancient Town, Long Cung Citadel with a history of 5000 years of wet rice cultivation contributing to the wet rice civilization of mankind.

Regarding bilateral cooperation, the Vice Chairman of Hunan Province said that cultural and tourism cooperation between Vietnam and Hunan Province is going very well. In 2024, Zhangjiajie City organized a cultural and tourism introduction program in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and received active support from Vietnam. Cultural exchanges were enhanced, Hunan Television cooperated with Vietnam to create interesting reality TV products, which were welcomed by Vietnamese and Chinese audiences.

The number of Vietnamese and Chinese tourists is increasing rapidly. Nha Trang and some localities in Vietnam are favorite destinations of Chinese tourists. In contrast, the number of Vietnamese tourists to Zhangjiajie and Phoenix Ancient Town is also increasing.

In the coming time, in order to implement the common perception of the two countries' senior leaders, Vice Chairman of Hunan Province Jiang Difei proposed 5 points of cooperation:

Firstly, the two sides will strengthen coordination in introducing each other's tourism resources, jointly promote the improvement of the quality of tourism products, focusing on "red tourism" products for research and study, inheriting the tradition of friendship between the two Parties and two States.

Second, promote cultural exchanges, support television cooperation between the two countries, jointly produce cultural exchange programs, enhance understanding, and strengthen friendship between the people of the two countries.

Third, exchange experiences in protecting and restoring ancient relics and architecture.

Fourth, promote tourism cooperation mechanism between Vietnam and Hunan, study the possibility of facilitating immigration procedures for tourists from both sides, and strengthen cooperation in aviation and chartered aircraft.

Fifth, Vietnam and China are two friendly neighboring countries with similar cultures. Hunan wishes to promote exchanges and high-level meetings between provincial leaders and leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

On this occasion, Vice Chairman of Hunan Province Jiang Di Fei invited the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh to visit Hunan at a convenient time.

Agreeing with the 5 points of cooperation proposed by Vice Chairman of Hunan Province Jiang Di Fei, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh hopes that in the coming time, a delegation will be organized to visit, survey and learn from Hunan Province's experience in developing highways associated with promoting tourism, refer to the experience of developing traditional culture in harmony with modern culture, taking people as the center to integrate with nature, and learn from the experience in preserving and maintaining ancient villages in Hunan.
