Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Thua Thien Hue, said that in recent times, based on the orientation of the Ministry of Information and Communications, the attention and orientation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee, Thua Thien Hue has had positive changes, encouraging initial results in the development of digital government and smart urban services in the locality, especially the support and consensus of the people and businesses in the province.
Up to now, Thua Thien Hue province has converted more than 30 information systems from the e-government development stage into 4 common platforms for the digital government development stage including: Authentication platform; Digital working platform; Digital reporting platform; Digital map platform. Through identity authentication with a shared national database including: People, civil servants, and public employees authenticated uniformly through the National Population Database managed by the Ministry of Public Security; Enterprises authenticated uniformly through the Enterprise Database managed by the Ministry of Planning and Investment; State agencies authenticated through the Identification Code Database managed by the Ministry of Information and Communications, many limitations and shortcomings of other authentication methods have been overcome and a legal basis has been created for interactive activities in the digital space, which is also the basis for public and transparent activities in the digital space.

Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long also heard an overview as well as features, data collection and processing procedures, and problems applied to digital platforms serving the direction and operation work.
Regarding Online Public Services, the Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Thua Thien Hue shared some limitations and difficulties in the locality in the past time. At the same time, he reported and proposed to Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long a number of comprehensive solutions that the Department is advising the Provincial People's Committee to implement to improve the results of online public services. From there, he made a number of proposals to the Ministry of Information and Communications regarding giving opinions on the issuance of administrative procedures of ministries, branches, and the Central Government; the assessment method of the National Public Service Portal; Standardizing the toolkit for monitoring results using data generated directly from transactions; on policies to promote public digital signatures; policies for the Community Digital Technology Team as well as improving the quality of public postal services.
Through the report and discussion at the meeting, Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long highly appreciated the results achieved by the Department of Information and Communications of Thua Thien Hue in advising on digital transformation activities and smart urban services in the locality, especially in data collection, digitization, authentication, connection and management.

The Deputy Minister hopes that Thua Thien Hue, based on existing data, needs to coordinate with sectors and localities to develop overall scenarios and perform analytical tasks to better serve the direction and administration of provincial leaders; Research and apply AI solutions in operating smart urban services at the local level to reduce workload and improve work quality for operating and monitoring staff; Advise on piloting a socialized camera monitoring model to ensure urban order on some routes, thereby evaluating the effectiveness and replicating the model.
