Mr. Tran Tien Dung, 50 years old, Deputy Minister of Justice, was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
On January 18, Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee held a conference to implement the Politburo's Decision on personnel work. Mr. Le Minh Hung, Politburo member and Head of the Central Organizing Committee attended and presented the Decision.
Accordingly, the Politburo decided to let Mr. Tran Tien Dung cease his position as Deputy Minister of Justice, transfer and appoint him to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.

Before holding the position of Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Dung held many important positions such as: Chief of Office of the Ministry of Justice, Deputy Minister of Justice; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee.
At the same time, the Politburo also decided to transfer and assign Mr. Bui Van Nghiem, Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission.
