Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Y Thong visited and wished Khmer ethnic minority people a happy traditional Chol Chnam Thmay festival.

On the morning of April 11, a working delegation led by Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Y Thong visited and extended New Year greetings to prestigious people and Khmer ethnic minority policy households in An Giang province on the occasion of the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year.

Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang Province Bui Van Tang; Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Nguyen Van Len; Secretary of the Tri Ton District Party Committee Lam Thanh Si; leaders of departments, branches, localities and 61 prestigious people among the Khmer ethnic minority people of Tri Ton, Chau Thanh, Thoai Son districts and Tinh Bien town attended.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Do Y Thong respectfully sends to all dignitaries, prestigious people and Khmer ethnic minorities the warmest sentiments, warmest greetings and best wishes for the New Year. Wishing Khmer ethnic minorities, dignitaries and monks a joyful, healthy, peaceful and happy traditional Chol Chnam Thmay 2025; a new year with new joys and new victories.

At the same time, it is hoped that Party committees and local authorities will continue to implement ethnic and religious policies well, in conjunction with social security policies. Pay attention to supporting and taking good care of the material and spiritual lives of the people, especially poor and near-poor households and families in difficult circumstances. Prepare good conditions for the Khmer ethnic minority people to celebrate the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year 2025 in solidarity, joy, health, safety, economy, in accordance with the civilized lifestyle, customs, practices and fine cultural traditions of the nation. Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Y Thong believes that the Khmer ethnic minority people and monks in An Giang province will continue to promote the spirit of patriotism and the strength of great national unity to make a breakthrough in development and successfully implement the socio-economic development goals in 2025.

On this occasion, the delegation presented gifts to 61 prestigious people among the Khmer ethnic minority in Tri Ton, Chau Thanh, Thoai Son districts, Tinh Bien town and 50 poor households of the Khmer ethnic minority in Tri Ton district.
