Tourists visit Fansipan peak

The People's Committee of Sa Pa town (Lao Cai) has just issued a decision approving the plan to organize the management and collection of entrance fees to the Fansipan peak area.

Accordingly, from January 1, 2025, organizations and individuals, both Vietnamese and foreigners, who visit the Fansipan peak area must pay a fee to visit the scenic spot. The fee for people aged 16 and over is 10,000 VND, and for children aged 6 to under 16 is 5,000 VND.

Children under 6 years old, people with severe disabilities as prescribed, leaders of the Party and State, special guests with opinions from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Sa Pa town, students of primary, secondary and high schools in the town who visit the extracurricular activities every year with registration... are exempted from entrance fees.

People who enjoy preferential policies on cultural enjoyment, the elderly, people with severe disabilities according to the law... receive a 50% discount on entrance fees.

According to the People's Committee of Sa Pa town, collecting entrance fees to Fansipan peak area will contribute to increasing budget revenue for Sa Pa town; creating conditions for funding for environmental sanitation, organizing preservation, restoration, promotion of scenic values, and developing cultural tourism.

Sa Pa Town People's Committee has also approved a plan to organize management and collect fees for visiting Cat Cat waterfall, Hoang Lien commune with similar fees.
