The project “Policy on attracting and promoting talents for the Vietnam People's Army until 2030, with a vision to 2050” is an important legal basis for promulgating policies to attract and promote military talents; building a team of military talents capable of creating breakthroughs in the fields of research, design, manufacture, and production of weapons, equipment, and military equipment, including leading experts, scientists, general engineers in military science, technology, and engineering; campaign-level and strategic-level leaders and commanders; defense intelligence officers; talented defense enterprise managers, and many promising young talents in the military and defense fields.

At the conference, delegates contributed many quality opinions to clarify the specific tasks of each agency and unit according to the main groups of contents and solutions: Raising awareness of responsibility of Party committees, commanders, cadres and employees; building and perfecting mechanisms and policies; improving quality, creating breakthroughs in training and fostering talents; building a fair, democratic, professional, civilized and modern working environment; expanding cooperation in attracting talented people to the Army, cooperating in performing tasks; promoting the role and responsibility of agencies, units and individuals in implementation; mobilizing resources to implement policies to attract and promote talents; promoting information and communication.

Concluding the conference, Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung affirmed: The Project is a very important policy to enhance the strength of the Army, contributing to the successful implementation of the goal of building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern Army. Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung requested: The competent agencies need to absorb the opinions at the conference, study to develop a plan to soon put the Project into practice. Based on the contents and solutions, the competent agencies need to study, propose and concretize them into legal documents for implementation. Party committees and commanders of agencies and units need to organize the dissemination and implementation of Decision No. 726/QD-TTg seriously, synchronously, on schedule and effectively achieve the goals and requirements of the Project; Ensure coordination, monitoring, supervision, and evaluation of the Project implementation and effectively mobilize resources during the Project implementation process, ensuring objectivity, publicity, fairness, correct procedures, principles, and progress in terms of time according to assigned tasks; promptly propose solutions to difficulties and obstacles in implementation or propose adjustments and supplements to the plan according to implementation requirements. The Army press agencies continue to promote propaganda work on the Project to raise awareness and responsibility of all cadres, soldiers, and people, contributing to the successful implementation of goals and targets for attracting and using talents for the Vietnam People's Army.
