(To Quoc) - After three days (from November 29th to December 1st), the Hanoi Food and Culture Festival 2024 attracted nearly 110,000 local residents and tourists.
The Hanoi Food and Culture Festival 2024, themed "Hanoi Connecting Five Continents," is directed by the Hanoi City People's Committee and organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports. It will take place at Thong Nhat Park for three days (from November 29th to December 1st).
According to the festival organizers, visitors to the Hanoi Food Culture Festival 2024 will have the opportunity to experience typical culinary culture such as: Hanoi pho, West Lake shrimp cakes, Phu Do vermicelli, Uoc Le pork sausage, Lang Vong sticky rice flakes, Me Tri sticky rice flakes, sticky rice, Phu Thuong sweet soup, Tranh Khuc sticky rice cake, Phung spring rolls, Quan Ganh sticky rice cake, Phu Nhi rice cake, Quang Phu Cau rice porridge, Ha Mo rice porridge, Lang So vermicelli…
Mr. Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, presented the Decision to recognize "Hanoi Pho" as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage to the leaders of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Tourism and the community involved in Hanoi Pho.
In addition, the culinary space also features participation from 8 provinces: Ha Giang, Son La, Lang Son, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, Khanh Hoa, Thanh Hoa, and Quang Binh.
This year, the Hanoi Food and Culture Festival 2024 features the participation of 16 embassies from countries such as Algeria, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Brazil, India, Iran, Japan, Mongolia, Laos, the Russian Federation, Sri Lanka, Turkey, South Korea, France, Italy, and Venezuela; and 8 neighboring provinces: Ha Giang, Son La, Lang Son, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, Khanh Hoa, Thanh Hoa, and Quang Binh, with over 80 booths.
Numerous locals and tourists come to experience the heritage of Hanoi Pho.
Besides promoting and introducing Hanoi's cuisine, the organizers also held numerous seminars with the participation of managers, culinary experts, and cultural experts to discuss issues related to preserving and promoting the value of Hanoi's cuisine, especially the National Intangible Cultural Heritage "Hanoi pho".
According to the organizers, the Hanoi Food Culture Festival 2024 was successful not only in promoting and showcasing Hanoi's culinary culture, but also in creating an attractive entertainment space for locals and tourists on weekends.
