Hau Giang Province Market Management Force has just inspected and seized more than 2,000 "blind bags" of unknown origin at a local business store.
Recently, Market Management Team No. 1 - Hau Giang Province Market Management Department has strengthened the supervision of business activities on e-commerce platforms. Through supervision, the Team discovered that TH business household used the Facebook account "THUY HOA" to introduce and post "Blind Bag" products for sale.
After verification, Market Management Team No. 1 conducted a surprise inspection of TH business household (address: Ward 1, Vi Thanh city, Hau Giang province).
The inspection team discovered that the facility displayed and sold products that were exactly as pictured on the Facebook account "THUY HOA", with the quantity being over 2,000 "Blind Bag" products of various types. All the goods had labels in foreign languages, without invoices or documents proving their origin. Therefore, the team temporarily detained all the goods for handling according to the law.
From mystery boxes to cute little packages, the blind bag trend is becoming a global phenomenon. While the blind bag trend is relaxing and entertaining, it also comes with many negative consequences.
To meet the increasing demand of consumers, many manufacturers have taken advantage of this opportunity to produce fake and counterfeit goods of poor quality, causing harm to consumers' health.
Market Management Team No. 1 recommends that consumers need to be alert and consider carefully before deciding to buy "blind bags", products that pose many potential health and safety risks to users.
In the coming time, Market Management Team No. 1 will continue to strengthen the management of the area, implement professional measures to organize and monitor businesses with signs of violations in the fields of anti-smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the province.
Blind bags are popular nowadays, usually plastic toy animals, with interesting, cute shapes and cheap prices. However, fake toy products are often made from recycled plastic, containing phthalates, a substance that increases the flexibility and durability of plastic, which can increase the risk of allergies, male genital deformities, early puberty, etc.
