The event took place at the main bridge located in Toc Tien commune (Phu My city).
Attending the event were General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Minister of National Defense ; Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Viet Thanh; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Tho; and leaders of departments, branches and localities.
The Component 3 project of Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway has been technically opened to traffic, with a length of 19.5km, designed with 4 lanes, speed of 100km/h, and a total investment of over 5,190 billion VND. This is a key section in connecting the national transport network, contributing to maximizing the efficiency of the North – South Eastern Expressway, Long Thanh International Airport and the Cai Mep – Thi Vai seaport system.

At the same time, in Long Dat district, the Provincial People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the road connecting National Highway 56 to the roundabout of Road 51B, 51C of Vung Tau City - the first section of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway system. With a length of 6.7km and a total investment of nearly VND 6,707 billion, the project is designed according to the standards of an elevated urban expressway, creating a modern and synchronous urban development corridor.
Also within the framework of the event, the province organized the opening of the road section from Nha Lon Long Son to National Highway 51, including the Cua Lap 2 Bridge project - a key item of the coastal route DT994 Vung Tau - Binh Thuan. This project has a total length of nearly 77km, is a coastal axis connecting key localities in tourism , industry and national defense in the region.

Notably, in Con Dao island district, the new Military-Civilian Medical Center has officially come into operation after nearly 1 year of construction. With a total capital of more than 247 billion VND, the project has a scale of 60 beds in the first phase, aiming for 100 beds in the future. This will be a modern medical facility, contributing to the health care of people and tourists, while improving the capacity to prevent and control epidemics in the island area of the Fatherland.
The groundbreaking and inauguration of a series of large-scale, synchronous projects in both transportation and people's lives demonstrate the strong determination of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in promoting strategic infrastructure investment, enhancing regional connectivity and creating a solid foundation for socio-economic development.
These projects are expected to be completed on schedule in the 2025-2027 period, making practical contributions to the development of the province and the entire Southeast region - the most dynamic key economic region in the country.
