Opening of 5 key highways on the occasion of April 30

The Ministry of Construction has reported to the Government a list of 5 key transport projects expected to be inaugurated and opened to traffic on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day. Accordingly, there are 4 component projects of the North-South Expressway Project in the East (2021-2025 period) and 1 expressway project invested by the Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC).

In addition to these 5 expressway projects, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, the Ministry of Construction plans to close the Rach Mieu Bridge (a project invested by the My Thuan Project Management Board) at the location of the 2 towers P19 and P20.

Accordingly, 5 key expressway projects will be completed and put into operation on April 30, including: The North-South Expressway component project, Bai Vot - Ham Nghi section, invested by Thang Long Project Management Board. This project is over 35km long, passing through Ha Tinh province, and is expected to be technically opened to traffic on April 19 and put into operation on the main route on April 28.

The second project is the North-South Expressway project, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang section, also invested by Thang Long Project Management Board. The project is over 54km long, passing through Ha Tinh province, and is expected to be technically opened to traffic on April 19, and put into operation on the main route on April 28.

Next, the North-South Expressway component project, Bung - Van Ninh section, nearly 49km long, passing through Quang Binh province, invested by Project Management Board 6, will be technically opened to traffic on April 19 and put into operation on the main route on April 28.

The North-South Expressway project, Van Phong - Nha Trang section, invested by Project Management Board 7 with a length of more than 83km, passing through Khanh Hoa province, will be inaugurated and put into operation about 70km on April 19.

In addition to the four North-South expressway projects, the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway project invested by the Vietnam Expressway Corporation is also expected to open to traffic over 18km, from the National Highway 1 intersection to Nguyen Van Tao intersection on April 18, and put into operation on the main route on April 28.
