Recently, leaker Evan Blass revealed some information about the dimensions of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. According to him, the device has a 6.5-inch outer screen and an 8-inch foldable screen. When measured horizontally, the phone is 10.6mm thick when folded and 4.9mm thick when unfolded.

According to information revealed by Ice Universe, the Z Fold6 Slim will be Samsung's thinnest foldable smartphone, and the company is considering using titanium for the back of the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim. The back is a crucial foldable component as it supports the foldable screen and hinge. Currently, Samsung uses carbon fiber reinforced plastic for this part in all Z Fold models.
With the new Z Fold6 Slim, switching to a titanium back panel could make the device lighter and easier to carry, and it will not support the SPen stylus, being 11mm thick when folded. If the information revealed by leaker Evan Blass is accurate, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will be Samsung's thinnest foldable smartphone.
The product is expected to launch in Q4/2024.
