The official website of the Orange County, Florida Clerk of Court posted a notice and pretrial order regarding the case of singer Lynda Trang Dai (US name: Lynda Trangdaile Ngo) accused of petty theft.
Accordingly, the pre-trial hearing will take place at 1:30 p.m. (local time) on April 24 at the headquarters of the Orange County court system in Orlando (Florida, USA).
This is a pre-trial conference, held in court - where the judge, prosecutor and defense attorney come together to discuss, update and handle issues in preparation for the official trial.
Regarding the point of view, Lynda Trang Dai's side denied the accusation, while the prosecutor's side maintained the view that the female singer was guilty.

"Ms. Lynda Trangdaile Ngo knowingly took or used an item, an AirPods case, valued at $100 or more, which was the property of another person, namely Gucci, as the owner or custodian of such property, with the intent to temporarily or permanently deprive the owner of the property of its ownership or interest, or to use such property for her own personal use or for the use of another person who had no right to use it," reads the indictment from the Orange County, Florida, District Attorney's Office.
Additionally, when a formal indictment is filed, all Orange County Sheriff's Office and Orange County Jail records must be updated to reflect the original complaint.
The formal trial is scheduled for May 12-16 and will be presided over by a judge from the Criminal Division of the Orange County District Court.
On January 5 in Orlando (Florida, USA), singer Lynda Trang Dai was arrested by police and charged with first-degree theft - a misdemeanor for taking an Airpod accessory worth 330 USD (8.3 million VND) out of the Gucci store at The Mall at Millenia without paying.
Lynda Trang Dai was taken to the Orange County Jail. On January 6, she posted $1,000 bail and was released.
Sharing more with reporters, an anonymous lawyer said that the pre-trial hearing will include many activities such as: checking progress, discussing the possibility of mediation/plea agreement, handling requests, setting a trial schedule, checking the exchange of evidence...
The session is important because if the two sides reach a plea agreement, the case could end without a formal trial.
