Customs clearance of goods at Sam Pun Border Gate (Vietnam) - Dien Bong (China)

BHG - On March 31, at Thuong Phung commune, Meo Vac district, the Management Board of the Economic Zone of Ha Giang province coordinated with the Department of Trade of Van Son district, Yunnan province (China) to organize a customs clearance ceremony for goods from the Sam Pun (Vietnam) - Dien Bong (China) border gate. Attending the ceremony on the Ha Giang province side were comrade Nguyen Van Truong, Deputy Head of the Management Board of the Economic Zone of Ha Giang province (Vietnam); leaders of Meo Vac district and professional sectors; and functional agencies at the border gate.

BHG - On March 31, in Thuong Phung commune, Meo Vac district, the Management Board of the Economic Zone of Ha Giang province coordinated with the Department of Commerce of Van Son district, Yunnan province (China) to organize a customs clearance ceremony for goods from the Sam Pun Border Gate (Vietnam) - Dien Bong (China). Attending the ceremony on the Ha Giang side were comrade Nguyen Van Truong, Deputy Head of the Management Board of the Economic Zone of Ha Giang province (Vietnam); leaders of Meo Vac district and professional sectors; and functional agencies at the border gate. On the Chinese side, there were comrade Tiet Dinh Hai, Head of the Border Gate Office of the People's Government of Van Son district, Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce of Van Son district, Yunnan province (China); leaders of Phu Ninh district, functional agencies and a number of enterprises.

Delegates from both sides attended the customs clearance ceremony.

Sam Pun Border Gate (Vietnam) is built at landmark 456, Vietnam - China border; located in Mo Phang village, Thuong Phung commune, Meo Vac district. Since March 17, 2023, the two sides have successfully organized a ceremony to officially announce the opening of the bilateral border gate pair Sam Pun (Vietnam) - Dien Bong (China). Thereby, the entry and exit activities for people passing through the border gate pair between the two countries have been maintained stably. However, import and export activities of goods have not been opened. The opening of goods transportation through Sam Pun - Dien Bong Border Gate is of great significance in regional cooperation, contributing to strengthening and developing the relationship between Vietnam and China. In the coming time, the two sides will continue to strengthen close coordination in the management and operation of the border gate pair, propose to competent authorities to create a policy mechanism for border economic development to attract businesses and traders to participate in trade and service activities, create favorable conditions for people and means of transport to transport import and export goods to promote bilateral cooperation to a new level.
