BTO- In the working session this morning (December 8) of the 19th session, the 11th Provincial People's Council reviewed and approved many important resolutions. Among them, there is the Resolution on the Master Plan for the construction of Mui Ne National Tourist Area, Binh Thuan Province until 2040, with a vision to 2050 (Planning).

According to the resolution, the planning area of ​​this area is 14,760 hectares. Specifically, the Phan Thiet City area is about 6,625 hectares, including the coastal strip from Phu Hai ward (adjacent to Phu Hai river) to the end of Mui Ne ward boundary, limited by Vo Nguyen Giap road, provincial road DT.715, current inter-commune traffic road of Thien Nghiep commune, planned road according to land use planning of Bac Binh district.

Bac Binh district area is about 7,165 ha (of which Hoa Thang commune is about 6,030 ha and Hong Phong commune is about 1,135 ha): Including the coastal strip from the boundary of Hong Phong commune to the end of the boundary of Hoa Thang commune, limited by provincial road DT.716, Hoa Thang - Hoa Phu road, the planned road according to the land use planning of Bac Binh district, the boundary of Bau Trang tourist area. Tuy Phong district area is about 970 ha (belonging to Hoa Phu commune - now belonging to Phan Ri Cua town): Including the coastal strip from the boundary of Hoa Thang commune to the area adjacent to Luy river, limited by provincial road DT.716, the planned road according to the land use planning of Tuy Phong district...

This is a national tourist area that develops tourism in harmony with urban development. It is a tourist center with outstanding tourism products such as sea resort tourism, sea sports, tourism associated with the typical landscape and terrain of "sand". It is a cultural center with outstanding values ​​of Cham culture, culture of coastal communities and traditional festivals. Forming a tourist center associated with urban development in the area with the main development driving force being tourism with the main themes: Sea tourism, entertainment; sports tourism; resort and wellness tourism and other tourism products.

Forecasted development scale, tourists by 2030 about 14 million visitors (of which, about 2.5 million international visitors); by 2040 about 25 million visitors (of which, about 6 million international visitors); vision to 2050 about 35 million visitors (of which, about 11 million international visitors). Population (including population converted from tourists) by 2030 about 150,000 - 200,000 people; vision to 2050 about 300,000 - 500,000 people (of which population forecast according to population growth rate about 140,000 - 160,000 people, population converted from tourists about 160,000 - 340,000 people).

In terms of spatial development, building tourism development space, focusing on urban tourism resorts, entertainment areas, marine sports, commercial service centers... Allocating space in accordance with terrain, land fund, development situation of existing areas, requirements for developing new areas, ensuring effective and sustainable exploitation of land funds associated with the development potential of each area with the characteristic of coastal space.

Prioritize the formation of large complexes, develop with long-term strategies, avoid fragmented, scattered investment, lack of focus and key points. Develop spaces associated with tourism products based on the strengths of marine resources and other tourism resources. Position typical tourism products corresponding to landscape areas and functional areas in the region. Strongly develop types of resort tourism - sea sports (surfing, sailing, diving, car racing, motorbikes on sand dunes ...), conferences, seminars, exhibitions, event organization (MICE) ..., creating momentum to promote other types of development.

Preserve and protect valuable landscape areas, restore and embellish cultural and historical relics, scenic spots associated with investment in basic infrastructure, develop craft villages, fishing villages to serve experiential tourism. Protect coastal corridors, limit the construction of new works on the sea side; ensure that the sea space is used in common to increase the ability to attract investment and effectively exploit beaches. Renovate existing residential areas close to the sea, have appropriate resettlement plans, create a clear, clean, civilized coastal route...

Regarding land use planning orientation, the Land Use Allocation Plan is appropriate, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development of the region, prioritizing land allocation for key economic sectors, promoting economic development, improving people's lives. Period up to 2030: Land area for functional construction has an area of ​​about 11,083.8 ha (accounting for about 75.09%); land area for agricultural and other functional areas has an area of ​​about 3,676.2 ha (accounting for about 24.91%). Period up to 2040: Land area for functional construction has an area of ​​about 13,588.21 ha (accounting for about 92.06%); land area for agricultural and other functional areas has an area of ​​about 1,171.79 ha (accounting for about 7.94%)...
