The family of martyr Cao Van Tuat in Cao Thang village, Ky Xuan commune, Ky Anh district (Ha Tinh) will discuss and agree to soon hand over the diary to the museum unit to both prolong the life of the diary and serve propaganda and education work.
On April 18, the Provincial Military Command coordinated with the province's functional agencies to approach, research the content, and guide the family of martyr Cao Van Tuat to deposit the diary in the historical archives.
The working delegation chaired by the Provincial Military Command worked with the family of martyr Cao Van Tuat.
Implementing the direction of the Government Office and the Provincial People's Committee, the working group chaired by the Provincial Military Command in coordination with the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Information and Communications, Home Affairs and the People's Committee of Ky Anh district went to Cao Thang village, Ky Xuan commune, Ky Anh district to study the content of the diary of martyr Cao Van Tuat to serve as a document for propaganda and education.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tat Thang - Deputy Chief of Politics of the Provincial Military Command mobilized and guided the family to deposit the diary in the museum.
The working group directly discussed with the family of Mr. Ha Huy My (born in 1961, nephew of martyr Cao Van Tuat) to access and study the content of the diary.
The diary was written around 1966 with notes about famous poems and songs by famous authors, composed before 1961, along with poems and thoughts sent through poems and notes about the home front, family, and relatives.
The diary and war relics of martyr Cao Van Tuat are solemnly kept on the altar at Mr. Ha Huy My's house.
The entire diary of martyr Cao Van Tuan is a sacred relic, vividly reflecting the love for homeland and country; revolutionary ideals; deeply depicting the image of a revolutionary soldier with an optimistic spirit, determination to fight and defeat the invading enemy of the soldiers of "Uncle Ho's Army".
This is a valuable handbook and source of information for authorities to research and convey the values of ideals of life, fighting, determination to fight and win of previous generations, thereby arousing and promoting patriotism, self-reliance and self-reliance; spreading love for the homeland and country to today's young generation.
To safely preserve and prolong the life of the diary, the working group recommended that the family of martyr Cao Van Tuat deposit the diary in the historical archives at the Provincial Museum or the Museum of Military Region 4.
Mr. Ha Huy My confided to the working group that the remains of martyr Cao Van Tuat have not yet been found to be brought back to his homeland.
Mr. Ha Huy My agreed with the working group to discuss and reach an agreement within the family and will hand over the diary for storage and preservation to the museum unit in the near future.
The family representative also requested the working group and the authorities to copy and reprint so that the family can keep a copy to serve as incense on the altar of martyr Cao Van Tuat.
