Agree on the agenda for the regular meeting at the end of 2024 of the Provincial People's Council

On the afternoon of October 22, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a joint conference between the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and relevant agencies to unify the content and agenda of the 23rd Session - the regular session at the end of 2024, the 14th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026. Comrade Vi Ngoc Bich, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, chaired the conference. Attending the conference were comrades: Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Hoi, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Le Van Anh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and representatives of relevant agencies and units.

The 23rd Session - the regular session at the end of 2024 is expected to take place for 2.5 days, from December 5 to December 7, 2024. This is a very important session to focus on deeply assessing the results of socio-economic development in 2024; discuss the directions, tasks and solutions for socio-economic development in 2025.

At this session, the Provincial People's Council focused on reviewing 18 reports on work results and specialized reports as prescribed in Article 58 and Article 59 of the Law on Supervision Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils 2015 and the provisions of the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets 2017, the Law on State Budget . At the same time, it discussed and reviewed 16 submissions to issue 16 resolutions submitted by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee. In particular, it focused on discussing and deciding to issue a number of mechanisms, policies, and management measures on finance, budget, and public investment; building the government, organizing the payroll apparatus, etc.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has directed the Provincial People's Council Committees to closely coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments, branches and sectors to proactively prepare contents for the session. The Provincial People's Committee has directed specialized agencies to advise on policies, prepare procedures, records and documents related to the contents, and submit them to serve the review work of the Provincial People's Council Committees to ensure progress and time according to regulations.

Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, spoke at the conference.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Vi Ngoc Bich, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, requested: Faced with the large workload, the trust and expectations of voters and people in the province, the Standing Committee and committees of the Provincial People's Council need to actively coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and relevant agencies to proactively prepare reports, submissions, projects, and draft resolutions to be submitted at the meeting in a proactive and positive manner with a serious, strict spirit, in accordance with the order and procedures prescribed by law.

The Provincial People's Committee directs to review and promptly implement, ensuring sufficient conditions, order and procedures for submission at the regular meeting at the end of 2024 in accordance with regulations; complete and seek opinions from the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee according to Working Regulation No. 08-QC/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee before submitting to the Provincial People's Council meeting. The Provincial People's Council Standing Committee will not consider submitting to the meeting for contents submitted after the prescribed time.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested: The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council directs groups and delegates of the Provincial People's Council to complete meetings with voters no later than November 20, 2024; The Provincial People's Committee prepares documents for the Provincial People's Council delegates to meet voters, and sends them to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council no later than November 10, 2024. The Provincial People's Council Committees develop plans to survey and examine submissions and draft resolutions; proactively coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies to carefully and thoroughly prepare draft resolutions to submit to the session. News agencies and newspapers promote timely information and propaganda before, during and after the session.
