Agree on investment policy for Tam Diep 220kV Transformer Station Project

On the morning of May 8, Comrade Nguyen Cao Son, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session with the National Power Transmission Corporation on the investment policy of the Tam Diep 220kV Transformer Station Project and the connection in Tam Diep city and Hoa Lu district.

Attending were leaders of relevant departments and branches; leaders of Tam Diep City People's Committee and Hoa Lu district.

The Tam Diep 220kV Transformer Station Project has a capacity of 2x250MVA (first phase of T1: 1x250MVA), expected to be located in Tan Binh ward, Tam Diep city. The 220kV line connects to Tan Binh ward, Tam Diep city and Ninh Van commune, Hoa Lu district.

At the meeting, the representative of the National Power Transmission Corporation said: Through analysis and calculation, in the coming time, the demand for electricity load in Ninh Binh province will increase, especially in Tam Diep area, due to rapid urbanization and the expansion of industrial parks. Therefore, it is urgent to build Tam Diep 220kV Station to reduce the power supply radius for the 110kV grid, while enhancing the ability to provide stable electricity to the power transmission system of Ninh Binh province and the region, contributing to the stable operation of the national power system.

The representative of the National Power Transmission Corporation emphasized that if the project is not completed, energized, and put into operation by 2025, the 110kV power grid of Ninh Binh province will face many difficulties in operation, the power lines will operate at full capacity and overloaded in incident mode. Therefore, it is necessary to complete the procedures and start the project in the fourth quarter of 2024. This is a challenging schedule and the National Power Transmission Corporation requests the Provincial People's Committee to promptly consider and approve the project investment policy.

Speaking at the meeting, delegates expressed their high agreement with the investment policy of the Tam Diep 220kV Transformer Station Project. However, to ensure the legal basis and implementation progress, delegates focused on discussing and clarifying and resolving a number of difficulties and obstacles related to investor selection procedures; adjustment of planning, land use plans, adjustment of the Tam Diep City Master Plan; site clearance...

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Cao Son affirmed the importance of the Project to the socio-economic development of the province, as well as the country. Especially at this time when Ninh Binh province is planning about 1 thousand hectares for 2 industrial parks in Tam Diep city and Nho Quan district, it is impossible to let the Project be delayed.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Construction to coordinate and guide Tam Diep city on the fastest procedural processes to be able to locally adjust the General Planning of Tam Diep city to serve the implementation of the Project. In addition, the People's Committee of Tam Diep city and Hoa Lu district need to review the land use planning, put the land area planned to implement the Project into the list of land use purpose changes to submit to the Provincial People's Council for approval at the nearest session. In addition, in the process of implementing the Project, if any difficulties or problems arise, localities and units need to immediately report to the Provincial People's Committee for early solutions.
