VOV.VN - The 10th meeting of the 13th Party Central Committee opened on the morning of September 18, 2024 in Hanoi.
In the morning, the Party Central Committee worked at the Hall. Comrade Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member and Prime Minister, chaired the meeting on behalf of the Politburo.
The Central Committee took a minute to commemorate compatriots and soldiers who died and sacrificed, and donated to support compatriots affected by the recent Storm No. 3.
Opening of the 10th Central Conference, Session XIII Comrade Luong Cuong, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, on behalf of the Politburo, reported on the Program of the 10th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee. Comrade General Secretary and President To Lam chaired and delivered the opening speech at the Conference. After the opening session, the Party Central Committee worked in groups to discuss the draft Political Report to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress; the Summary Report on a number of theoretical and practical issues on the socialist-oriented renovation process in Vietnam over the past 40 years. In the afternoon, the Party Central Committee worked in groups to discuss the draft Report on the assessment of 5 years of implementing the 10-year Socio-Economic Development Strategy 2021 - 2030, and the directions and tasks for socio-economic development in the 5-year period 2026 - 2030; Draft Report on the implementation of the 2024 Socio-Economic Development Plan, the projected Socio-Economic Development Plan for 2025; Report on the implementation of the State budget in 2024, the State budget estimate for 2025; The 3-year State financial and budget plan for 2025 - 2027; the policy for the Project on investment in the construction of the North-South high-speed railway. In the evening, the Party Central Committee worked in discussion groups on the Summary of the personnel work of the 13th Party Central Committee and the direction of personnel work of the 14th Party Central Committee; Project to amend and supplement Decision No. 244-QD/TW, dated June 9, 2014 of the 11th Party Central Committee on promulgating the Election Regulations within the Party; draft Report on the summary of Party building work and implementation of the Party Charter to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress.
