(QBĐT) - The Provincial People's Committee has just issued Notice No. 556/TB-UBND organizing the State Funeral of comrade Khamtay Siphandone, former Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, former Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 1846/BNG-DNA dated April 3, 2025 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the form of the funeral of Comrade Khamtay Siphandone, former Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, former Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, in accordance with the State funeral format,
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requests agencies, units and localities in the province to implement the following contents:
1. Agencies, units, and localities will fly flags at half-mast during the 2-day National Funeral from April 4, 2025 to April 5, 2025.
Form of flag hanging: Implement according to the provisions in Article 10, Chapter II, Decree No. 105/2012/ND-CP dated December 17, 2012 of the Government on organizing funerals for cadres, civil servants and public employees.
2. Stop public entertainment activities in the whole province for 2 days (April 4, 2025 and April 5, 2025).
Request agencies, units and localities to seriously implement.
