(NLDO) - On the second day of Tet, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and the South is generally chilly to cold and the low temperature is favorable for outdoor activities.
According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, today, January 30 (the 2nd day of Tet), the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and the South is mainly cloudy, sunny during the day, no rain at night.
Ho Chi Minh City, early morning and night is cold, lowest temperature is 20 degrees Celsius and highest is 30 degrees Celsius.
In other Southern provinces, the Northeast wind is at level 2-3; early mornings and nights are cold with the lowest temperature from 19-22 degrees Celsius, in the East some places are below 19 degrees Celsius and the highest is from 27-30 degrees Celsius, some places are above 30 degrees Celsius.
Humidity and UV index in the areas are also at safe levels, not causing heat or harm to the skin. This creates favorable conditions for outdoor activities and spring travel activities to welcome the Lunar New Year 2025 of the people.
In addition, the weather in the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau (including Ho Chi Minh City sea area) has Northeast wind level 6, gusting to level 7-8; rough sea; waves 2-4.5 m high.
Boats and other activities in coastal areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and large waves.
Eastern high tide warning of the South
Today, the coastal areas from Vung Tau to Ca Mau have high water levels of 405 - 410 cm; high water levels occur from 1-7am and 2-10pm daily.
As of today, the water level in the Southeast coast is at a high level. The highest water level at Vung Tau station is forecast to reach 410 - 415cm.
Impact forecast: Low-lying coastal areas, riverside areas, and areas outside the dike system in the Southeast region are likely to be flooded during the evening and night.
