According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, Hanoi's weather in the next 3 days (February 6-8) will be covered in dense fog with drizzle, then enter a period of severe cold, with temperatures dropping sharply.

Specifically, in these 3 days, the capital Hanoi area will be cloudy with scattered rain. Today (February 6) is cold with the highest temperature during the day fluctuating around 20-22℃, the lowest at night 15-17℃.

From the afternoon of February 7-8, the weather will turn cold, with some places experiencing severe cold, with the highest temperature being 13-17℃ and the lowest commonly being 10-14℃.

Experts say that the weather in Hanoi and surrounding areas may experience a peak of severe cold with the minimum temperature possibly dropping to 10-11 degrees Celsius on the night of February 7 and morning of February 8.

In addition, the meteorological agency said that currently (February 6), the strong cold air mass is moving south.

Around early morning and tomorrow morning (February 7), this cold air mass will affect the Northeast region, then the Northwest, North Central, Central Central and some places in the South Central. Northeast wind inland will strengthen to level 3, coastal areas level 3-4, some places will have gusts of level 6.

Due to the influence of cold air, in the North from tomorrow afternoon the weather will turn very cold, very cold; from tomorrow night, the North Central region will also be very cold, from Quang Binh to Hue the weather will be very cold, some places will be very cold.

The meteorological agency said that the lowest temperature in this cold air mass in the North will generally be from 9-12 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas 5-8 degrees Celsius, in high mountainous areas below 2 degrees Celsius, with the possibility of snow and frost; in the North Central region 11-14 degrees Celsius, from Quang Binh to Hue 14-16 degrees Celsius.

The widespread cold spell in the North and North Central provinces is likely to last until around February 10.

At the same time, due to the influence of cold air strengthening combined with strong currents in the upper westerly wind zone, from tonight to the morning of February 8, the Northern region and Thanh Hoa will have scattered rain.
