According to Dr. Joseph Antoun, you should eat dinner as early as possible, about 12 hours after breakfast the next day, so that the digestive system has enough time to function, avoiding affecting the quality of sleep.

He affirmed that the ideal time for dinner for the body is definitely not after 9pm. The expert said: "When you eat late at night, your body will not be able to rest fully.
You may not realize it, but your digestive system is still working, so you can't sleep well. When your sleep quality is poor, you're missing out on one of the key factors for longevity."
The earlier you eat dinner, the better, says Dr. Joseph. Ideally, your last meal of the day should be about 12 hours before your first meal of the next day.
This not only helps keep fit and control weight, but also reduces the burden on the digestive system and limits the impact on sleep quality.
“One thing we found when we interviewed centenarians was that they didn’t necessarily eat healthy, but they did eat dinner early,” Dr. Joseph explains.
Also, they don't stay up late or snack in the middle of the night. The next day, they always have breakfast and dinner at least 12 hours apart. Whether intentional or not, this is similar to a form of intermittent fasting."
