(QNO) - On the occasion of the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023), this afternoon, June 19, Quang Nam Provincial Police organized a meeting with leaders, reporters, and representatives of news agencies and newspapers operating in the province.
Speaking at the meeting, Major General Nguyen Duc Dung - Director of Quang Nam Provincial Police emphasized that in recent times, the press has performed its propaganda function well, always closely following, honestly recording, and promptly reflecting the achievements of economic, cultural and social development, the results of the work of Party building and rectification, building a socialist rule-of-law state, and promoting the people's mastery.
The press agencies have contributed to reflecting the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of all classes of people, discovering and encouraging good people and good deeds, and typical advanced models in the patriotic emulation movement... At the same time, the press also criticizes and fights against negative phenomena and bad habits in society, criticizes and rejects wrong and toxic viewpoints and information, contributing to maintaining people's trust in the cause of building, developing and defending the Fatherland.
For the police force, central and local press agencies and journalists always accompany, connect, monitor and clearly reflect the activities of the police force of the whole province in the process of performing the task of ensuring national security and maintaining social order and safety.
The team of journalists has many articles and social reports that are profound, sharing the hardships of the police force; promptly reflecting the feats and achievements of the people's police force in general and Quang Nam Police in particular in the fight against crime.
Besides, the press also actively promotes good people and good deeds in the movement of the whole people to protect national security, spreads the beautiful image of the people's police force, participates in giving opinions and suggestions to build the Quang Nam Police force to be increasingly clean, strong, disciplined, elite and modern.

On this occasion, implementing the direction of the Ministry of Public Security, Quang Nam Provincial Police also announced the launch of a press award with the theme "For national security and peaceful life" for the period 2023 - 2025.
