Children: “Play soccer

From June 8 to 26, Huong Hoa District Youth Union coordinated with the RENEW Coordination Office in Quang Tri to organize a Community Football Festival integrating communication on bomb and mine prevention and explosive materials in 10 communes and towns in the district.

At the program, more than 1,000 children in localities with high risk of mines participated in games combining football with questions related to mines and explosives to help them recognize the consequences of mines, their harm, how to handle them and how to prevent accidents caused by mines.

At the same time, learn and discuss topics related to mines: causes of mine accidents; effects and consequences of mines; types of mines; safe behaviors when encountering mines...

This is an opportunity for children in Huong Hoa district to be aware of the dangers, how to prevent and minimize the risk of accidents caused by bombs, mines and explosives left over from the war; at the same time, it also arouses the passion for sports and creates a healthy and safe playground for children with the motto "Play football - not play with bombs and mines".
