The festival is a meaningful activity of the system of palaces, children's houses, and youth activity centers in the southern provinces and cities to practically celebrate the 78th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945/August 19, 2023) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945/September 2, 2023).

This year's festival has the participation of more than 100 children who are members of the Technical Creativity Club of palaces, children's houses, and youth activity centers in the following localities: Can Tho City, Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Khanh Hoa, Kien Giang... and 4 emulation clusters of the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House system.

The children competed enthusiastically in the following categories: Assembling and controlling robots to perform tasks on a sand table, solving a Rubik's cube, practicing shooting water rockets at aerial targets, and creating mosaics (pictures made from many small pieces) with the theme "Cat". In the end, the emulation cluster No. 3 unit of the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House system excellently won first place overall.

With the motto “Knowledge, skills, creativity, meaning”, the Science and Technology Festival of palaces, children’s houses, and youth activity centers in the southern provinces and cities has contributed to creating an intellectual and useful playground for team members and children, awakening their potential and promoting creativity in learning. At the same time, it helps children to enrich their knowledge, practice their skills, and know how to apply science to real life.
