Lack of five important nutrients causes premature gray hair and suggested supplements

Deficiencies in protein, copper, zinc, calcium and vitamin B12 cause hair roots to not have enough nutrients to grow, making them brittle and turning gray prematurely.

Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 plays an important role in cell repair and blood formation. Deficiency of this nutrient leads to anemia.

When the amount of blood in the body is not enough, nutrients are not transported evenly throughout the body, causing hair to not have enough nutrients to grow, fall out a lot and turn gray.

Increase vitamin B12 in the body through foods such as meat, milk, cereals...

Protein

The most important component of hair is keratin. Keratin is a protein.

Protein deficiency causes insufficient protein content in hair, causing a decrease in melanocytes, making hair unable to retain its black color and turning into gray hair.

Supplement protein for the body through foods such as meat, fish, tofu, dark green vegetables...

Copper

Copper is an essential trace element in the human body. Copper helps iron in the process of blood formation, fat regulation, and blood sugar regulation.

Copper also contributes to the production of tyrosinase - an enzyme that plays an important role in the production of melanocytes - helping hair to be black, shiny and smooth.

Copper deficiency leads to tyrosinase deficiency, causing premature graying of hair.

Increase intake of green vegetables, nuts, oysters, spirulina... to supplement copper for the body.

Calcium

Calcium is not only important for bones but also promotes hair growth. Calcium deficiency leads to hair loss and premature graying.

Supplement calcium through food sources such as milk, cheese, tofu, green vegetables...

Zinc

Zinc is an essential nutrient for the body, participating in the process of DNA and protein regeneration and promoting metabolism. Research shows that zinc plays an important role in maintaining healthy hair, helping to stimulate hair growth and prevent premature graying.

Increase zinc for the body through foods such as shrimp, crab, oysters, chicken, milk...
